Smrsh: attempt to use script failed
From Brandonhutchinson.com
When using the SendMail Restricted SHell (smrsh) for mailing to programs, the programs themselves, or symbolic links to the programs, must be placed in /etc/smrsh.
Example error message in maillog:
- maillog output:
Nov 14 08:56:15 host smrsh: uid 8: attempt to use "email2ipage hutchib" (stat failed) Nov 14 08:56:15 host sendmail[1460]: mAEEuFpe001459: to="|/etc/mail/email2ipage hutchib";, ctladdr=<hutchib.pager@example.com> (8/0), delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=prog, pri=30559, dsn=5.0.0, stat=Service unavailable
After creating a symbolic link in /etc/smrsh to the script, the program mailer works.
